Hey everyone,
The first 5 days here has been great! I am learning a lot about the language, and the culture in the philippines. I am so excited to get over there.

They are keeping us pretty busy here, we get up at 6 am every morning so we can beat the rush. Oh, and i found out that I am in the swine flu hall! Oh well. Classes are long but fun, my companion's name is Elder Perry from Mesa, AZ. He is 6'2" and pretty much towers over me! Actually a lot of elders here tower over me. ha ha.

I have learned how to bear my testimony in Tagalog. This week sometime we will learn how to pray. Church yesterday was cool, although I couldn't understand any of it except a few words here and there. I could still feel the spirit. They have us prepare a 5 min talk every week and they just randomly choose 2 people to talk. Then one of the presidency and their wife talks.

The spirit is so strong here in everything we do. Wow It is amazing, even in my semi-casual conversation I can feel the spirit. I guess after 4 or 5 weeks they have us only talk in tagalog. That should be pretty interesting.

I've seen a few of my friends here from the outside world so its been pretty fun. The food isn't actually half bad either. I've really missed my morning Dr. Pepper and I miss gum too! They outlaw gum at the MTC! Can you believe it. They have a lot of rules here but I haven't really had a hard time with any of them. I definitely have been blessed. Well, my time's runnin out.
